What is World Green Building Week?

World  Green Building Week is held between the 22-26th of September 2014 - it’s the biggest and best opportunity each year for us to shine the spotlight on our global movement and our collective mission – to create sustainable built environments. World Green Building Week started in 2009 to create a more connected, more interactive, more public conversation around the role buildings play in creating our sustainable future. By working together in the same week all over the world, our message is louder, demonstrates global diversity in activities and creates excitement as people feel part of our growing global community.

World Green Building Week in Hungary

Hungary Green Building Council celebrated World Green Building Week last  year with a series of events, Green Walk: the one-week series of open days to the highlights of sustainable architecture in Hungary proved to be a great success, and it awaits visitors with several new locations and new initiatives this year too. Regional, international conference of Central-Eastern European GBC-s, Build2Gether will also be held on the 24th of September, hosted by HuGBC and focused on the topic of Green Retrofit - succesful examples of which like Eiffel Palace or Dorottya Udvar can be visited on the following days.
