Croatia Green Building Council, in cooperation with the Croatian Chamber of Architects and Triple Green Building Group is organizing LEED education on 21. and 22. September 2015 in ORIS home of Architecture.
Green Building has no alternative; therefore, so far there are more than 1.5 billion m2 space area of various buildings certified – public or commercial purposes, apartment buildings and single-family houses, office towers, as well as whole urban regions.

LEED.
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) is a building rating system designed by the U.S. Green Building council. It was the first national system of its kind in the world when it was launched and now has projects in over 100 countries (including the USA, Canada, Brazil and Italy). The purpose of this voluntary certification program is to strengthen green building market development through the application of “consensus-based” standards and to provide clear criterion for measuring building impacts during and after construction. LEED® “provides independent, third-party verification that a building project is environmentally responsible, profitable and a healthy place to live and work.” In general the LEED® 2009 Rating System offers four possible levels of certification out of a possible 110 points: Certified (40-49), Silver (50-59), Gold (60-79), and Platinum (80 or above). Points are awarded as credits in 6 categories: Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, Energy & Atmosphere, Materials & Resources, Indoor Environmental Quality, and Innovation & Design.
